Life is AMAZING!

I just felt my little niece or nephew move (via my sister's belly) for the first time! It was just a couple very gentle "pushes" against her belly, but it shows me that there really is a baby in there - as if I couldn't tell from seeing her huge belly (on an otherwise fat free girl)! Thank You, Jesus, for new life!

I started a new blog which is dedicated completely to my journey to earn income online! If you want to check it out here. (I have not fiddled around with the design of the blog yet, but I do have a couple of posts up.)

An Opportunity I am EXCITED About

I found information about BookSneeze on a different blog and thought I would apply and see what happens. I got an email from them today saying that I had been accepted, and that I get one of their books for free if I review here on my blog! This is the first opportunity of this type that I have ever had - with my blog being so small and all. :) I am going to be receiving and reviewing Lies the Government Told You by Judge Andrew Napolitano and I think that it will be a very interesting read. So, check back "soon" (I have to first receive it, and than read it, and then review it) for my review of the book!

I hope that you have an amazing weekend!

A Verse To Share

So, I found an old notebook where I had written down the references to some Bible verses that must have some importance to me, but I haven't looked any of them up yet... so I thought why not look one up, write a post about it, and share with all. So I am off to get my notebook (which I am currently using to write a fiction story in) be right back... :)

... I am back and am now heading to Biblegateway.com to check out the first verse.

Isaiah 8:13
The LORD Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy,
He is the one you are to fear,
He is the one you are to dread.

I think that this verse is significant to me because I am a worrier, and I get scared easily. To me this verse is saying you don't have to fear anyone but God - maybe not what the verse really is "supposed" to mean, but that is what it means to me. :)

23 Things

Two posts in one day?! I guess so, 'cause I saw this idea on the Smiles and Trials blog and I wanted to try it for myself.

20 Things About Me:

1. I love watching tv shows
2. A lot more than watching movies, especially
3. Some of my current favorites are Full House, 7th Heaven, Reba and iCarly (I admit I watch that "kids show". :)
4. I have a niece or nephew coming late spring (my first!) and a niece coming just two weeks after that one - if you've ever read this blog before you already knew that. :)
5. I get sick quite often, and that is my "reputation" in my family, haha.
6. I was my oldest sister's personal attendant in her wedding
7. After (politely) refusing to be one of her bridesmaids.
8. I think that "traditional" weddings are pretty much ridiculous.
9. I love bargain shopping
10. But not when the cashiers give you a hard time for it.
11. I despise pretty much any form of authority (towards me, that is).
12. I have an unexplainable "fear" (and a bit of dislike for) of cops. (see above, haha)
13. I love to "use" quotation marks around words - for various reasons.
14. I took one Psychology class online, but have not pursued any further formal education. :)
15. I have a couple dozen aunts and uncles and dozens of cousins
16. I am not really "close" to any of them
17. Aside from one cousin and her family.
18. I make jewelry, but nothing too fancy.
19. I make cards.
20. I am a "parent pal" through Hugs and Hope.
21. In 13 days I will have been without shampoo for 1 year!
22. I don't really have any "friends", but my brothers and sisters and I are extremely close.
23. I despise winter.

Lost in the Old Testament and (OF COURSE) the Babies

Let me start by saying that I cannot believe that it is now under 100 days until my first niece or nephew is due - and baby C (my niece) is due just a couple of weeks after that one! I - along with their parents - am getting a little inpatient.

I have a song stuck in my head for the last few days, since I have been reading in the Old Testament since the beginning of the year... the song is really "Back in the New Testament" by Apologetix (the song is a parody of Back in the USSR by the Beatles), but I have made up a parody of the parody - "Lost in the Old Testament". :) I am so lost as to what one is supposed to learn in the Old Testament. I am so confused how the same God who says that "the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath" (spoken when the Pharisees were upset that Jesus' disciples were "working" on the Sabbath, Mark 2:27) in the New Testament, commanded that someone who had been working on the Sabbath in the Old Testament be stoned (Numbers 15:32-36). I am confused that our God who loves and who commands us not to judge, had such harsh rules and had the people judge and carry out punishments for those who disobeyed His commands. I'm surprised that a God who, I believe, values all life didn't give as strong of a punishment for those who - intentionally - caused a miscarriage, as He did for those who caused another murder (don't remember the reference right now). It's not as if I have never read the old testament before, I think it's just that I have grown older and now I feel the need to question things before just believing. ... I feel bad even writing all this, even questioning God and His Word, but this all just shows that I am confused and that I am lost!

But "I still believe"... I believe in Jesus, I know that there is a reason behind all that I am reading - I just have yet to find that reason or to "figure out" the Old Testament.

Swagbucks, Daytona500 and a Story (Coming Soon)

First, just wanted to let you know that the link I have on the right side of my blog - for Swagbucks - is legit. I joined them just under 3 weeks ago and have so far earned a $5 Amazon gift card just for doing searches that I would normally do anyways.

Second, I'm watching the Daytona500 with some of my siblings today (off and on) and I just have to remember Dale Earnhardt Sr. every year as I watch - did you realize that it has been nine years since his death during the 2001 Daytona500 race? I remember watching that race and the crash and all, and every year I wonder how Dale Sr.'s wife feels about seeing her son out racing.

Third, I heard from someone today who I love and miss and who I want to share with you sometime soon via a story about her and her brother and their involvement in my life.

Happy Sunday! Happy Daytona500 day!

Oh, alright, I'll say it, happy Valentine's day.

I won! I won! I won!

I won a diaper cake from the Aubut Life blog! I am so excited! I have already ordered this "cake" for a decoration/gift at my sister and sister-in-law's upcoming shower. I think it will make a great addition to the party. :)

This is the second blog giveaway that I have won in the past two months or so. How about you, do you win blog giveaways often? Any blogs that you would recommend to me for their giveaways?

My Baby Brother...

... is turning 13 this week! (Yes, my oldest brother is 30 and my youngest brother is 12, and yes we are all biological whole siblings.) I love him so much, and it's been so exciting to see him grow up - even if it is a bit sad, haha. I was going to just post about how fast time has gone, and how I can't believe that the youngest child in my family is now a teenager (making there 2 teens in the family, and a bunch of adults), but writing this has really turned my thoughts to my very youngest sibling... the one who we was miscarried just over 7 years ago. I cannot imagine how different life would be with a little one around today, and I can see how a little one would make some things harder, but I still feel a love for that little one and I miss him/her today.

Anyway, I love my baby brother (who is here on earth with me, not waiting for me in Heaven)... I love eating breakfast with him each morning. I love helping solve the riddles on Professor Layton and the Curious Village on DS. I love playing Wii with him. I love - although sometimes I don't act that way - reading Bible to him each night - even though I know that he could read it to himself and is just too lazy to try. :P I love how he logs me onto the computer each morning - cause he knows the speed (or lack thereof) of our computer drives me nuts. I love how he can keep a goldfish alive - for years, even. :)

I love my baby brother! Happy Birthday _______!
