Wow… I just have to say that this book wasn’t what I expected – especially from the cover and the authors. I was surprised to find that it was refreshingly about “Englishers” rather than the Amish.
Child of Mine tells the story of an uncle and his niece, and a woman who is searching for the little girl who was kidnapped from her as a baby. It is a story of love – among family and couples.
Who the book is for:
Those who enjoy contemporary fiction, not just Amish fiction lovers.
What I liked:
I really appreciated the fact that this book focused on more than just the Amish.
The story was really twisty and kept me guessing.
What I didn’t like:
There is one thing that I disagreed with this book on in regard to adoption, but it is kind of a spoiler, so I won’t share my view here.
Overall, this was a pretty good read.
I give Child of Mine 4 out of 5 stars.
