Cute and Simple Horse Story - My Review of Horse Gentler in Training

Published by: Tyndale Kids
Written by: Dandi Daley Mackall

My niece loves reading. She also seems to love horses lately. I was excited to have the chance to read and review Horse Gentler in Training because I thought this book was something that she might like.

This book tells the story of a young girl who is trying to learn how to train horses like her mom does. Her family is at risk of losing their ranch and her sister believes that everything will be okay because everything is possible with God.

Short Writings About Various Faith Issues - My Review of Praying the Promises

Published by: Thomas Nelson
Written by: Max Lucado and Andrea Lucado

I have enjoyed various books from Max Lucado through the years and I thought that this sounded like a good one.

Praying the Promises shares topics from the Bible, promises that God has made, and it helps us see how those topics affect our lives.

Most of us know who Michael W. Smith is. I thought it would be fun to read a book from him. I chose to read and review Nighty Night and Good Night simply because he wrote it.

The illustrations:

The pictures in this book are pretty fun and cute.

Who This Book is For:

This book seems to be made for babies and toddlers.

What I liked:

I like the overall look and feel of this book. The cover is cute, the color unique.

I like the pictures in the book - they are fairly cute.

What I didn’t like:

I showed this book to my sister and she right away said how it didn't flow well. I think she said that it was the poorest written children's book she had seen. I have to agree with her quite a bit. This is like anything anyone would make up as they are laying beside their child at night - it's not really written well.

My conclusion:

Overall, I think that this book could have used some work before getting published.

I give Nighty Night and Good Night 3 out of 5 stars.
